I still haven't taken any pics of the house (its buried in boxes, but the painting is coming along so we're getting there), but our first night here we went on a walk with my mom over to the Mall and the Capitol Building. This is within easy walking distance from my house! As an added bonus there were even baby ducks in the reflecting pool. I know you are jealous, but don't worry, you can always come visit.

Just so you know, I still consider myself a 'resident tourist' even though I've been in DC now for 2 1/2 years. It still amazes me at what goes on in DC sometimes (or what doesn't, for that matter) as I jog by the Capitol and several monuments on my usual running course.
